Can I use Structure Sensor with the 30-pin connector iPad?

The original Structure Sensor was designed to work with the Apple Lightning connector, so it will not work with iOS devices that have the older style 30-pin connector. The sensor uses the Apple Lightning connector to transmit data at very high rates that were not achievable with the 30-pin connector.

The following iPads with the 30-pin connector are not supported:

  • iPad (3rd Generation) -> [Models: A1416, A1430, A1403]
  • iPad 2 -> [Models: A1395, A1396, A1397]
  • iPad -> [Models: A1219, A1337]
