ST-1099: iPad Air (M2) 2024 will not calibrate
Bug Name: iPad Air (M2) 2024 will not calibrate
Status: Resolved
Bug Description: Newer iPads are not yet supported, including the 13-inch iPad Air (M2), 11-inch iPad Air (M2), 13-inch iPad Pro (M4), and 11-inch iPad Pro (M4)
Impacted Hardware/Software: 13-inch iPad Air (M2), 11-inch iPad Air (M2), 13-inch iPad Pro (M4), and 11-inch iPad Pro (M4)
Cause: The Calibrator app needed an update to recognize the 2024 iPad Air (M2).
Solution: Update Calibrator to version 4.4.5. You can find this version here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/structure-sensor-calibrator/id914275485
Once updated the iPad Air (M2) 2024 will be recognized.
SCX-988: App Displays Black Screen When Using TrueDepth and a 2024 iPad
Bug Name: App Displays Black Screen When Using TrueDepth and a 2024 iPad.
Status: In Progress
Bug Description:
While using an iPad made this year (Model year 2024), and an app using the Structure SDK, attempting to use the TrueDepth or LiDar Sensors will show a black screen.
Impacted Hardware/Software: Model Year 2024 iPads.
Cause: The Structure SDK provides positional values for TrueDepth and LiDar sensors. An update is required to add positional values for the 2024 iPads to the SDK.
Progress: A new SDK Update 3.0.3, is being developed to add these values. This update is expected at the end of the July, and will be available in the developer portal.
Once the new SDK becomes available, the developer must add the new SDK to their app and push the update to their users. This will resolve the issue.
SCX-393: Structure Sensor Pro (ST02B) Becomes Unresponsive
Bug Name: SCX-393: Structure Sensor Pro (ST02B) Becomes Unresponsive
Status: Open
Bug Description:
On occasion Structure Sensor Pro (ST02B) will become unresponsive/hung state when used with a USB-C iPad. We have not yet been able to reliably recreate this issue in house but believe that there is a sequence of events that causes this to happen. The issue seems to be exacerbated by iOS 17.2 and above.
Impacted Hardware/Software: ST02B + USB-C iPads
Known Workaround:
- Connect the sensor to a wall charger and leave it for 90 min
- Disconnect the sensor from the charger and connect it to the iPad and check whether the sensor is back in operation
- If not, leave the sensor connected to the wall charger for 13 hours, and then reconnect it to the iPad.
ST-950: Calibrator: ST01: You can't calibrate ST01 using Indoor Mode
Bug Name: ST-950: Calibrator: ST01: You can't calibrate ST01 using Indoor Mode
Status: Open
Bug Description: You will not be able to calibrate ST01 using Calibrator
Impacted Hardware/Software: original Structure Sensor (ST01)
Known Workaround: Use Calibrator during the day when it is not cloudy
ST-895: Scanner Sample App : Darkening of the visible frame when performing a second scan
Bug Name: ST-895: Scanner Sample App : Darkening of the visible frame when performing a second scan
Status: Resolved
Bug Description: In some instances the scan screen will become dark when taking a subsequent scan.
Impacted Hardware/Software: Structure Sensor (Mark II) & Structure Sensor Pro/ Structure Scanner app
Solution: Update to Scanner Sample App - Version 3.0.2 or higher
ST890: Scanner Sample App: Confusing Message Prompt
Bug Name: ST890: Scanner Sample App: Confusing Message Prompt
Status: Under Investigation
Bug Description: If a user opens the app and is not connected to Wifi the app tells the user they need a license instead of notifying them to turn wifi on.
Impacted Hardware/Software: Structure Sensor (Mark II) & Structure Sensor Pro/ Structure Scanner app
Known Workaround: Turn the wifi on for the license to activate at least once every 7 days. You may need to restart the app as well.
ST-858: Persistent Red/Yellow Overlay in Structure Scanner App
Bug Name: Persistent Red/Yellow Overlay in Structure Scanner App
Status: Resolved
Bug Description: Scanner Sample app exhibits a bug where the red/yellow overlay image persists on the scanned object even after starting a scan. This overlay obscures the view of the completed scan, making it challenging for users to assess the quality of the captured data. Several customer reports have been received, expressing concern about this issue. Despite the overlay, other app functionalities appear to operate normally.
Impacted Hardware/Software: Structure Sensor (Mark II) & Structure Sensor Pro/ Structure Scanner app
Solution: Update to Scanner Sample App - Version 3.0.1 or higher.
