What file formats does Structure Sensor 3 support?

The file formats supported by the Structure Sensor 3 depend on the app you are using. Some apps are developed by Structure, while others are created by third-party developers who choose their own export formats.


The Structure Capture app exports 3D scans in the following formats:

  • OBJ (with Texture UV) 
  • STL 
  • PLY 

Most modeling programs and 3D printers can import and use these formats.


These formats can be easily converted to other modeling formats using programs such as Meshlab or Blender.
