The Ad Hoc Network instructions for Uplink do not work on my Windows 10 machine!

Do you have a, relatively, recent Intel WiFi adapter? If so, please review this article as to  why it may not work: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000023257/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html

If you feel that describes your hardware configuration try creating a Mobile Hotspot instead. Here are the instructions for turning your PC into a mobile hotspot: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027762/windows-use-your-pc-as-a-mobile-hotspot

Please note that a mobile hotspot may be used by other devices, possibly without your knowledge, to connect to your PC or through your PC to the internet over a WiFi channel. This may affect the very demanding bandwidth and latency requirements for a successful Uplink connection. If you notice that Uplink is mostly working but unreliable consider adding a password so you can control access to the WiFi channel.
