Does Structure Sensor Pro/(Mark II) work outdoors?

Yes! Unlike the original Structure Sensor, Structure Sensor Pro and Structure Sensor (Mark II) will, with the correct presets and options, work outdoors.

Please note, in order to successfully scan outdoors, you must switch to the Outdoor Preset. This can be done in our Scanner sample app by following these instructions:

  1. Tap the settings icon in the upper left corner.

  2. Tap "Outdoors" under Depth Stream Preset (Mark II only) and turn on IR Auto Exposure.

  3. Tap the gear icon again to close settings and take your scan!
