What sensor drivers should I install?

Supported Sensors

Sensor Windows Mac
Original Structure Sensor (ST01) For a direct connection with a USB Hacker cable only; no extra setup is required for Uplink. Download and install OpenNI 2 32 bit or OpenNI 2 64 bit. For more on OpenNI 2, see our page with documentation, binaries, and the source repository. No extra setup is necessary.
Structure Sensor (Mark II) - ST02A Download and install the Structure Core firmware updater and driver package (Windows). Make sure your Structure Sensor (Mark II) - ST02A - has firmware version 1.0.0 or higher.
 Update your sensor to firmware 1.0.0 or higher using the Structure app. No extra setup is required for Uplink.
Structure Core Download and install the Structure Core firmware updater and driver package (Windows). Make sure your Structure Core has firmware version 1.0.0. Use the Structure Core firmware updater to update your Structure Core firmware to 1.0.0, which is required for Skanect.

Unofficial Sensors

These sensors may work with Skanect, but compatibility is not guaranteed. Further, we offer no support for users with unofficial sensors and our software.

Sensor Windows Mac
Kinect for Windows (v1) Download and install the Kinect for Windows SDK (version 1.8). Version 2+ of the SDK and the Kinect for Xbox One are not compatible with Skanect. No extra setup is necessary. Please note that the Kinect for Windows and Kinect for Xbox One sensors are not supported on Macs.
Kinect for Xbox 360 Download and install the Kinect for Windows SDK (version 1.8). Version 2+ of the SDK and the Kinect for Xbox One are not compatible with Skanect. No extra setup is necessary. Please note that the Kinect for Windows and Kinect for Xbox One sensors are not supported on Macs.
Asus Xtion Download and install OpenNI 2 32 bit or OpenNI 2 64 bit. No extra setup is necessary.
Primesense Carmine Download and install OpenNI 2 32 bit or OpenNI 2 64 bit. No extra setup is necessary.
